EXPERIENCE

APSC 103 — Moon Autonomous Rover for Cargo (MARC) – Collaboration with Canadian Space Agency (CSA)

Queen’s University, Kingston ON
Jan 2026 – Apr 2026
  • Designed and modeled a servo-actuated payload mechanism in Autodesk Fusion, featuring dual clamping arms and a 90-degree rotational platform to secure and transport cargo
  • Set up and ran static stress simulations (FEA) on the cargo clamping mechanism in Autodesk Fusion, completing material assignments, load and constraint application, mesh generation, and results interpretation
  • Achieved a minimum safety factor >4 and a maximum displacement of <2mm across the PLA structure during simulation
  • Conducted a feasibility study and researched space-grade material alternatives, proposing Aluminum 7075 and flexible polymer alloys to withstand extreme lunar temperature swings (-200°C to 100°C) and UV radiation

Aerostructures Sub-Team Member

Queen’s Aerospace Design Team, Kingston ON
Sept 2025 – Present
  • Responsible for the technical design and build of a fully operational rudder and aileron for a fixed-wing aircraft using Onshape
  • Designed a structurally critical rod mount connecting the carbon-fiber wing spar to the fuselage, ensuring structural integrity
  • Collaborated within a multidisciplinary team to ensure design specifications and builds were completed on time and to target
  • Manufactured composite aerostructures, including the aircraft wing and chassis, utilizing carbon fiber wet layup and epoxy pouring techniques

Machine Shop Training

Queen’s University, Kingston ON
Fall 2026
  • Completing formal machine shop training, developing hands-on competency with foundational manual machining equipment (lathes, mills) and safety protocols.

APSC 101 – Problem Solving and Modelling Project

Queen’s University, Kingston ON
